Did you know that Quinoa is a seed, NOT a grain? It’s actually a relative of spinach, beets and chard and the part of the plant we enjoy is the seed.
Quinoa is one of the most protein-rich foods we can eat and is, in fact, a complete protein. This means it contains all nine of the essential amino acids, which cannot be made by the body and therefore must come from food.
And to add to quinoa's bragging rights, It's also high in dietary fiber, iron, magnesium and B2 and contains as many antioxidants as those found in cranberries and lingonberries.
Our organic and fair trade quinoa is cleaned in a three part process—successfully rinsing away all saponin covering—then cooked and gently air-heated to fluffed crispness—pure, healthy bliss!
